    Responsibilities

    AEgis is seeking highly qualified Junior/Mid-level Analyst for support of major modeling and simulation (M&S) development and analysis program at the Air Force Research Laboratory, whose duties include:

     

    • Formulate and apply mathematical modeling and other optimizing methods to develop and interpret information that assists with the development of advanced weapon system concepts.
    • Ability to execute a technical, simulation-based analysis in accordance with organizational policies, procedures and guidelines.
    • Planning analyses and experiments for gathering critical data, configuring and running existing simulations, conducting experiments, analyzing data, and reporting conclusions in both oral and written formats.
    • Meeting with Government customers and program team members on a regular basis to review study status and plan future actions.

     

    New Hire 120 Day Success Factors:

     

    30 days: Candidate will successfully in process accomplishing all security-related activities resulting in access to Government computer networks. Candidate will review and demonstrate understanding of team analytical processes and procedures.

     

    60 days: Candidate will interact with the team and other teammates successfully supporting analysis planning/execution and other activities as directed for mission support. Candidate will become familiar with ongoing projects assigned.

     

    90 days: Candidate will develop expertise in executing studies and analyses and accomplish full transition for studies/analyses they are responsible for.

    Qualifications

    Candidate will have a minimum of a BS in a technical field such as Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or Operations Research. Candidate must have:

    • US SECRET clearance. Active TS or current SSBI is desired.
    • At least 5 years’ experience (or equivalent) in operations research and analysis, modeling and simulation, or other related field.
    • Strong analytical skills and be detail-oriented.
    • Demonstrated ability to be a part of a cohesive team and deliver the highest quality service.
    • Working knowledge of military operations and weapon systems analysis strongly preferred. A working knowledge of directed energy systems is desired but not required.
