    Responsibilities

    AEgis Technologies is seeking a highly qualified Research Scientist supporting the nano-optics research and development group. Our group conceives and develops nanophotonic materials that solve important customer-driven problems. Our diversified project portfolio includes, but is not limited to, metamaterials, plasmonics, nonlinear optics, and solar energy harvesting. This is a general posting and we are seeking candidates with expertise in theoretical and/or experimental nano-optics. Several candidates may be hired from this posting. This position requires a creative and resourceful mentality with a passion for problem solving in a research setting. The candidate will work collaboratively as a member of a research team in a dynamic work environment and must possess strong interpersonal skills to coordinate/collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.

    Qualifications

    • Ph.D. in engineering or physics is desired
    • M.S or B.S. candidates with strong nanofabrication experience will be considered
    • Ability to conduct research independently with minimal supervision
    • Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills
    • Able to contribute to technical reports and proposals
    • Demonstrated strong peer-reviewed publication record
    • Must be able to obtain and maintain Secret security clearance
