    Responsibilities

    Description: The primary responsibility of the AEgis Marketing & Communications Manager is to convey the organization’s internal and external messages by directing and executing the workflow of marketing, advertising, and public relations within a high-tech company specializing in modeling & simulation and emerging training solutions for both military and commercial applications. The assigned role will maintain the marketing and conference budgets for planning year-round advertising campaigns and conference exhibitions, both nationally and internationally, to include a multi-disciplinary team at Huntsville headquarters, Orlando, and Albuquerque offices. Duties include preparing marketing materials, press releases, collateral, social media and promotion, media communications, corporate communications, email marketing, advertising content, conference giveaways, and web updates.

     

    Job Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Maintain conference schedule, budget, and marketing plan
    • Create brand exposure for main AEgis Technologies technology capabilities
    • Create brand exposure for AEgis in the community and philanthropic activities
    • Corporate internal and external communications
    • Advertising buys to include: online, print, conference promotion, and social media
    • Work with AEgis graphic artists to design content for: web, marketing slicks, ads, promotion materials, exhibition booth collateral
    • Update marketing materials as needed
    • Email marketing campaigns utilizing MailChimp
    • Development and execution of corporate and product-based videos by outsourcing video crew
    • Schedule media interviews and develop content features on personnel & technologies
    • Social media promotion and weekly posts: LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube
    • Web updates for main AEgis Technologies site plus AEgis Elements 3D Content and Vampire Net UAS simulation
    • Write press releases and distribute
    • Order conference giveaways and promotional items
    • Communicate with team members in multiple areas including Huntsville headquarters and personnel in Orlando, Albuquerque, Colorado Springs, and Washington D.C. to plan product promotion, upcoming technologies, and conferences.
    • Other duties as assigned

     

     New Employee Success Factors:

    •  30 days Integrate marketing and communications functions internally and externally by studying current capabilities and communications approach. Develop plan to enhance, improve or sustain marketing approach within available budgets.  Confirm and support conference budget, events, calendar, and logistics.  Meet with executive and senior management as appropriate to understand challenges and opportunities for support leveraging marketing and communications.  Seek approval of plan and methods with VP, BD.
    • 60 days Initiate plan developed in first 30 days. Establish metrics to measure effectiveness and feedback loop to improve methods. Assess current web / digital / media presence and generate plan to improve it.  Begin generating press releases, articles, blogs, social media engagements to enhance AEgis’ brand, awareness, and reputation.
    • 90 days Begin mid-long range planning of marketing support to AEgis operations, opportunities for engagement, communications and marketing themes. Confirm current year budget and marketing approach, gain approval for next year.

                       

     

    Qualifications

    • Must have a bachelor’s degree in marketing, public relations, or another relevant field. 
    • 5-8 years marketing-related experience at similar size organization with Defense and Aerospace focus and Federal Government customer base is highly preferable.
