    Responsibilities

     

    • Monitor, analyze and evaluate all classified and unclassified message traffic and unclassified news service reports.
    • Disseminate pertinent messages for action to the proper directorate or action officer.
    • Prepare concise and accurate written communications.
    • Maintain continuous 24/7 communications with OCP, higher, adjacent, lower and supporting operations center.
    • Develop Orders (messages, Warning Orders and Fragmentary Orders (FRAGOs) for the organization as required.
    • Receive, prepare and distribute the USARCENT Situational Report (SITREP) and Subordinate Commanders Comments.
    • Ensure communications systems are monitored 24/7 (NIPR, SIPR, AMHS, CPOF).
    • Maintain proficiency on all automated and audio visual systems, and administrative procedures.
    • Issue messages, monitor and maintain the accuracy of the USARCENT Mass Notification System.
    • Manage the receipt and release of all messages/orders (WARNOs, FRAGOs, OPORDs, Request for Forces, Deployment Orders, etc.) received from the staff directorate and Subordinate - Assign orders and message numbers to USARCENT Orders and Messages.
    • Distribute orders via email to appropriate staff directorate; higher, lower and adjacent headquarters for action or situation awareness.
    • Distribute USARCENT Orders and Messages to Higher, Adjacent and Subordinate Commands for action or situational awareness via the Automated Message Handling System (AMHS).
    • Monitor, review and distribute messages received via the Automated Message Handling System published by Higher, Adjacent and Subordinate commands that contain Specific Task for USARCENT.
    • Post all orders and Daily Orders Summary to the Third Army portal.
    • Maintain the USARCENT orders management portal site and log of internal and external messages received and released from USARCENT

    Qualifications

    Military operational experience is critical to success of USARCENT Operations Team. Individual must have minimum experience of 12 years in the military. Experience should be primarily in operations environment. The performance of this service requires personnel with a minimum of operational and staff experience of 12 months at the battalion staff as an S3/XO, or higher or a minimum of 6 months of experience at a Service Component Command or Combatant Command Headquarters is preferred. Previous experience working in the ARCENT G-33 Current Operations Section or COIC is also acceptable. Have experience working on classified networks and interfacing with military staffs. Demonstrate superior written and verbal communication abilities. Must possess a Secret security clearance.

     

    Required Education:

    • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience (12+ Years)
    • Master degree desired.
