    Responsibilities

    AEgis Technologies is seeking a mid to senior level GNC (Guidance, Navigation and Controls Algorithm Development) Engineer to support the development, evaluation, and testing of munition systems for the United States Air Force. This includes evaluation of concepts and concept systems’ performance and stability. Assist in the establishment of performance limitations. Carry-out modeling and simulation development of guided weapons systems and concepts. Implementation in software of GNC algorithms.  

    • Work with a small team of scientists and engineers to model, simulate and study the performance of potential Air Force guided weapon systems, concepts and advanced weapon subsystem technologies.
    • Document studies and analysis findings via briefings, scientific papers and technical reports

    Qualifications

    • 5  or more years' experience in guidance, navigation, and controls algorithm development and analyses
    • Virtual and Constructive simulation development and the use of these simulations for guided weapon system and concept flight performance predictions.
    • Experience developing and presenting complex technical information via briefings, technical papers and project task reports.
    • Bachelor's degree in engineering or scientific field required, Advance degree desired.
    • Scientific programming experience required. Programming experience with C. C++, Matlab and/or Simulink code development.
    • Understanding of digital signal processing techniques
