 Candidate will support MDA Ground Test (GT) Rapid Scenario Prototyping (RaSP) team performing SQL script development, GT requirements analysis, and scenario design. Candidate will analyze scenario requirements and simulation results to support GT scenario feasibility assessments and will develop GT scenarios based on assessment results. Candidate will also support SQL script development to support the development of database scenario design tools.



New Employee 30/60/90 Goals:

30 days:

  • All accounts set up and operational, including ability to access the databases and tools using the desired toolset
  • Have become familiar with the design/implementation/test/release process for the databases and tools
  • Shadow developers during the implementation of a change request for the database and the GUI

60 days:

  • Be familiar with the scenario design process that we support with the database tools
  • Be able to input scenario design requirements, import a test case design, and check that design against the scenario design requirements using our GUI
  • Develop a familiarity with the structure of our databases and the primary execution paths in the stored procedures and functions

90 days:

  • Be able to independently implement a change request for the database
  • Be familiar with the interactions and execution paths between the GUI and the database




  • SQL Server Experience (T-SQL scripting, creation of tables, stored procedures and functions to implement designs that fulfill user requirements)
  • C# or C++ Experience, preferably regarding interaction with SQL Server


  • Familiarity with testing in an SQL Server environment, especially automated testing
  • Familiarity with requirements definition and software design principles (for database / GUI requirements and design documentation)
  • Familiarity with Python
  • Familiarity with PERL scripting
  • Familiarity with Database Administration (SQL Server)
