Responsibilities

AEgis is seeking a Sensor Engineer/Analyst to provide sensor analysis/engineering support to the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) to support BMD C2BMC Planner Engineering. Effort will be focused on model validation to assess system capabilities and limitations and to inform development of BMD analysis capability. System models used in the Planner include the Ground-Based Midcourse Defense (GMD) system; the AN/TPY-2 radar; BOA, Cobra Dane, UEWR, SBX, Aegis BMD; Phased Array Tracking Radar Intercept on Target (PATRIOT); and, Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD).

Qualifications

Education: BS Degree (MS preferred) in Engineering or Science related major

                                   

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • 10+ years of relevant experience
  • Working knowledge of Radar/Sensor capabilities
  • Experience developing, validating, or managing models and simulations
  • The candidate must be able to work within a collaborative environment composed of Government, Prime Contractor, Sub-Contractor and Supporting Contractor personnel in a badge-less contractor environment.
  • Ability to obtain/maintain active Secret Clearance

Desired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Familiarity with Missile Defense Agency and Ballistic Missile Defense System. MDA or military experience are a plus.
  • Understanding of the MDA Engineering practices and processes.
  • Familiarity with the BMDS system level documentation such as the BMD System Description Document and BMD System Specification
