Responsibilities

AEgis Technologies is seeking a qualified Configuration Management Analyst to work on a government sponsored engineering program.  The candidate will work supporting the program Configuration Control Boards, Configuration Identification, Configuration Control, Configuration Status Accounting, Configuration Verification and Audits. Perform the following CM activities related to the design, development and production of complex systems and equipment:

  • Ensure application of CM processes on programs are in accordance with CM plan.
  • Evaluate change control documentation such as Engineering Change Proposals and Requests for Deviations for adequacy.
  • Process contractual deliverables and related activities, maintaining a perfect on-time delivery record.
  • Routine tasks include coordination with stakeholders, coordination for the delivery activities between internal and external data management systems, monitor the deliverable process, update and maintain CDRL and SDRL status reports.
  • Establish data management procedures and guidelines, based on the contractual requirements and under the guidance of the Program Manager, Lead Systems Engineer, and Lead Software Engineer.
  • Develop data marking guidance from contractual, legal and internal organizational requirements and provide guidance to the user community for contract data deliverables and non-deliverable data.
  • Maintain the CDRL delivery matrix, identifying authors, approvers, reviewers, delivery schedule and frequency, stakeholder notification set-back information etc.
  • Maintain CDRL supporting data, internal approval records, submission and acceptance records.
  • Facilitate Configuration Control Boards (CCB) and maintain meeting records.
  • Develop contract deliverables reports.
  • Support program meetings and provide inputs and requirements for metadata information.
  • Set-up and maintain the program data environment, perform records management tasks in compliance with organizational records retention policies.
  • Manage accounts and permissions to the program data environment.
  • Support the preparation and delivery of the Technical Data Package (TDP) and maintenance of the TDP elements.
  • Support ISO, CMMI, customer, quality and corporate audits.
  • Prepare data management procedures and work instructions in support of the program data management plan.

Qualifications

Required

  • Citizen with active Top Secret Clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) eligibility and background investigation within the last 5 years. Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain all required security clearances and program specific accesses as a condition of continued employment.
  • 6 years relevant experence.
  • 3+ years of related Configuration Management experience with DoD programs.
  • Must be willing and able to travel as required.
  • Broad understanding of Defense Contract artifacts such as the SOW, contract attachments, CDRLs, DIDs, categories of technical data, and of non-technical program data, etc.
  • Working knowledge of relevant engineering standards, manufacturing, subcontract and supply chain processes in a defense environment.
  • Working knowledge of DoD configuration management practices, and keen understanding of configuration identification sub-discipline.
  • Excellent computer skills with MS Office suite to prepare reports and documents.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Attention to detail, coupled with good time management and organization skills.
  • Sound interpersonal skills for interfacing and coordinating with company personnel, customers, and suppliers.
  • Ability to make decisions using sound judgment while complying with policies, procedures, appropriate principles and applicable state and federal laws and regulation

Desired Skills:

  • DoD experience preferred, in an engineering environment with a demonstrated understanding of functional interrelationship of contracts administration, design engineering, manufacturing, quality, and logistics.
  • The ability to read and interpret contract documentation (such as Statements of Work and CDRL's) and government/industry standards and specifications.
  • Knowledge of formal change control processes: Class I changes, Class II changes, CCB experience/involvement.
  • Experience with Git®, JIRA®, Confluence and DOORS® database desired 
  • Good understanding of how configuration management function integrates with other functions in accomplishing the objectives of programs and functional organization.
  • Formal training in Configuration Data Management (CDM). NDIA Configuration Data Management (CDM) certification preferred.
  • Expert knowledge level in Microsoft Office and databases. 
  • Experience with teleconferencing applications working in a distributed organization.
  • Knowledge of the following standards is desirable.
    • ANSI/EIA-649 “National Consensus Standard for Configuration Management”
    • EIA-836 “Configuration Management Data Exchange and Interoperability.”
    • Defense Acquisition Guidebook (DAG) ANSI/GEIA-859: Data Management
    • DoDI 8510.01 “Risk Management Framework for DoD Information Technology”
    • NIST SP 800-53, Rev 4 "Security and Privacy Controls for Federal Information Systems and Organizations"
    • Military standards including: MIL-HDBK-61A, MIL-STD-31000
    • Industry standards including: EIA-649B, ISO 10007, CMMI
    • Drawing standards including ASME standards such as MIL-STD-100.
    • Formal training in Configuration Data Management (CDM).
    • NDIA Configuration Data Management (CDM) certification preferred

Required Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in technical field or related discipline from an accredited university.
