AEgis is seeking highly qualified Acquisition Support Specialist to assist the Government customer in the development of acquisition documents and processes to improve the success rate of transition of Science and Technology (S&T) capabilities into fielded test and evaluation (T&E) capabilities.  The customer periodically issues Requests for Information (RFI), White Papers (WP), and Broad Area Announcements (BAA) to meet Department of Defense requirements for T&E capabilities.  The Candidate may assist the customer in issuing BAAs and RFIs, as well as participate in processes to achieve topic generation/validation, working group (WG) review/consolidation, topic review/revision/approval, Industry/Day Academia Days (if held), BAA release, WP review/consolidation, proposal review/consolidation, and results/recommendations briefings to the customer.  Additionally, the Acquisition Support Specialist will establish timelines and milestones for the acquisition processes and documents to meet customer requirements.  The Candidate will have a functional knowledge of and assure compliance with applicable acquisition requirements and standards.


New Hire Success Factors 

  • 30 days: Successfully in-process and complete all security-related activities resulting in access to required computer networks. Candidate will review and demonstrate understanding of team processes and procedures. Candidate will become familiar with ongoing projects.
  • 60 days: Interact with team and other teammates successfully supporting acquisition processes, document development, and other activities as directed for mission support. Candidate will participate on ongoing projects.
  • 90 days: Develop knowledge and expertise in the acquisition processes, document development, and other activities to support the customer.  Function independently and/or lead other team members to accomplish tasks.


  • Candidate must possess a Bachelor’s degree in management, financial management, or other related field and have a minimum of 8 years of acquisition, financial management, or contracting experience.  
  • Candidate must promote total quality customer service and to work independently or as a member of a team. 
  • Candidate must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain a US Secret Clearance. 
  • Candidate must handle acquisition and other sensitive information with the highest degree of integrity and confidentiality.
