Responsibilities

AEgis is developing cutting edge products to visualize and integrate defense planning components! Using the best technologies and processes from the commercial sector, we’re bringing new solutions to DoD’s unique problem space. We are looking for mid-level to senior level candidates to conduct lethality studies and assessments for the Missile Defense Agency. The position requires the ability to adapt to rapidly evolving problems, customers’ needs, and varying priorities. The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Comprehensive understanding of penetration effects, fragment and penetrator sizing, explosives, lethality, survivability, and use of government-furnished threat models.
  • Strong analytical skills including the ability to perform trade studies and effectively use fast running lethality codes such as the Parametric Endo/Exoatmospheric Lethality Simulation (PEELS) and Kinetic Impact Debris Distribution (KIDD) to predict the lethality effectiveness.
  • Excellent communication skills, including ability to develop clear and complete technical reports, provide accurate status of work in progress, review documents and findings, implement solutions, and communicate results to engineering staff.

 

New Hire Success Factors:

  • 30 days - Integrated with team, accounts set up, understand the assessment needs.
  • 60 days  - Has begun to contribute input on what resources are needed to executed the assessment and metrics to be collected.'
  • 90 days – Has assessment process defined with understanding of products and timelines to support assessment.

Qualifications

  • Experience with MDA lethality M&S
  • Strong analytical, logical and mathematical skills required
  • Good writing and communication skills
  • Ability to work, produce, and deliver results independently as well as lead small teams
  • 10-25yrs + (BS) OR equivalent years of experience
