Responsibilities

 AEgis Technologies is seeking an experienced candidate to work as a Mid-Level Military Analyst in the Operations Section of U.S. Army Central (USARCENT) Command.  The qualified candidate will need to use experience gained from military service and leadership roles, as well as proficiency in advanced analytic theory, management and principles learned while performing duties in support of interagency, Joint, and combined operations at the tactical and operational levels of warfare to solve current and/or future mission needs or to correct problem areas.         

Duties and Responsibilities

 

AEgis Technologies is seeking a qualified Simulations Analyst to support an Army Headquarters exercise and training program in the USA and in overseas locations in the Middle East.  Primary duties include:

  • Perform system management and system administration functions supporting a distributed computing environment consisting of military simulations systems to include JLCCTC-ERF and the integration of these systems with Mission Command Systems (MCS) and administrative systems in order to support tailored unit digital MCS training requirements for military units ranging from battalion to echelons above corps.
  • Installation, maintenance, and control of MCS applications for logistics, intelligence, and fire support as well as the underlying computer operating systems. Likewise, designs, configures, documents, tests, and modifies computer applications and networks for use in an integrated MCS training environment.
  • Provide technical support in the daily operations of training at the MTC. Develop and maintain system documentation on MCS, including procedures for installation, configuration, testing, and system management. This also includes presentation and training materials for system administrators. Assist in site wide execution of integrated operational testing between simulation and MCS by analyzing information throughput, data flows, documenting system settings, and troubleshooting system faults.
  • Use modeling and simulation analysis tools to translate complex military concepts into scenario descriptions at the campaign, mission, or engagement level.

  • 60 days display expertise in JCATs, and associated simulations software
  • 90 days review.  Successfully participate in a USARCENT CPX

  • Virtual Battle-space 3 (VBS3) LVCG, Constructive Simulations / Stimulations (G&S) to include but not limited to:
  • Joint Land Component Constructive Training Capability (JLCCTC) Entity Resolution Federate (ERF)
  • Joint Conflict and Tactical Simulation (JCATS)
  • Virtual Reality Scene Generator (VRSG) / Multiple Unified Simulation Environment (MUSE)
  • Live Virtual Constructive - Integrating Architecture (LVC-IA) components
  • Virtual Battle Space 3 (VBS3)

Desired Skills:

Experience working in an Army Service Component Command headquarters with operational experience in deployment and employment of ground combat, aviation, supporting arms, and combat service support units and related equipment.

  • Knowledge / experience in CENTCOM AOR.
  • Three years demonstrated knowledge of military doctrine, tactics, and command relationships at the operational command level as measured by actual operational force employment experience.
  • Direct participation in real world operations.

Required:

  • Civilian Education:  Bachelor’s Degree or 15 years equivalent experience.
  • US Citizen with current/existing Security Clearance.
  • Installation and Systems Administration of Linux/Windows Operating Systems and SW    applications.
