Responsibilities

AEgis is seeking a candidate that has experience with HPEM technology.   Job duties include working side by side with HERTF Engineers and Physicist; receiving and reading technical prints / drawings from MEs; locating material for these said drawings and then using either the milling machine or the lathe to manufacture a quality product; set up, adjust and operate conventional and/or special purpose machine tools to perform diversified and difficult operations on work having close and exacting tolerances, several dimensional relationships, unusual contours and finish specifications frequently involving the improvisation of machines and tooling to accomplish results where operations require a broad knowledge of machining technology, operating skills and shop techniques together with long term diversified experience; use a wide range of precision measuring instruments and devices to set up, operate machine and check work; and calibrate machines during operations for rate and amount of cut to obtain required finish and dimensional specifications; check work to assure dimensional conformance where several related dimensions and unusual contours are required. 

 

 

New Hire Success Factors:

  • 30 days:  Candidate will successfully complete all AEgis in-processing and gain access to HERTF facilitie
  • 60 days:  Candidate will become familiar with HERTF processes, procedures, and needs and inform PM of where he/she feels is their appropriate place in the tasks to be executed.
  • 90 days:  Candidate will be proactive in addressing program/project needs/gaps.   

Qualifications

30+ years Machining experience; active Secret clearance; experience working at HERTF facility.
