Responsibilities

AEgis is developing cutting edge products to visualize and integrate defense planning components! Using the best technologies and processes from the commercial sector, we’re bringing new solutions to DoD’s unique problem space. We are looking for a junior to mid-level analyst to perform software assessment activities on RKV program software. The position requires the ability to adapt to rapidly evolving problems, customers’ needs, and varying priorities.  The successful candidate will be responsible for independent verification and validation of software and firmware.  Tasks range from software / firmware assessment, testing, and review, and analysis of engineering and test documentation. 

 

Success Factors (Success factors are simply the results we want this person to deliver, in order for us to consider this person a successful hire):

30 days - Integrated with team, accounts set up, understand the assessment needs.

60 days  - Has begun to contribute input on what resources are needed to executed the assessment and metrics to be collected.

90 days – Has assessment process defined with understanding of products and timelines to support assessment.

Qualifications

  • Experience with independent verification and validation
  • Strong analytical, logical and mathematical skills required
  • Good writing and communication skills
  • Experience in an agile development environment
  • Experience with development of automation scripts such as Python, Perl, bash, ksh, etc. helpful
  • Linux software development and/or systems
  • Ability to work, produce, and deliver results independently as well as lead small teams
  • Experience in Missile Defense industry a strong plus
  • Experience developing or testing to
