Support the Missile Defense Agency and/or the Department of Homeland Security Science and Technology Directorate performing modeling, simulation and analyses using Extended Air Defense Simulation (EADSIM) and other simulation tools as needed. Duties include development of scenarios, weapon system, radar, and command & control representations, development and documentation of analysis tools, and planning and execution of force-on-force level digital simulation. This position will also provide pre and post run analysis to assess the system performance as well as simulation tool performance and possibilities for improvement. This position will provide for modification of existing and development of new Python and Visual Basic tools.


Success Factors (Success factors are simply the results we want the individual to deliver, in order for us to consider them a successful hire):

  • 30 days Integrated with team, accounts set up, has become familiar with existing tools.
  • 60 days Familiar with EADSIM inputs/outputs
  • 90 days Capable of running EADSIM and associated analysis tools, familiar with output, beginning understand of Python and has a path forward on existing / new tools to modify / develop within the next 6 months.


  • At least 0-4 years of experience working with or supporting modeling, simulation and analysis efforts
  • BS in physics, engineering or a related technical field.
  • Applicant should have some understanding of system engineering and a working knowledge of software programming.
  • Experience with modeling and simulation tools such as EADSIM, OneSAF or STK is preferred but not mandatory. 
  • Must have good interpersonal skills and strong communications skills, both written and verbal.
  • Able to work independently with little supervision. 
  • Must possess and maintain a minimum of a SECRET clearance.
  • Some international travel is anticipated (<10%).
  • Work is to be performed at the AEgis Technologies office conveniently located minutes from the Crystal City Metro.
